The Hospital

I no longer work in this hospital and have moved to a different part of Chad, however if you would like more information about Bebalem hospital, I have contact with people who are working there and can put you in touch.

Thank you for access to your blog which will be most helpful for us and the AIM group as we seek to support you in prayer. Every blessing in your language studies and in all other aspects of your preparation.

Hi Catherine! Thought we should introduce ourselves as we may soon be colleagues in Chad! My name is Cari Robertson and my husband, Andy, is a pediatrician who worked at Bebalem last summer. We head to language school this fall and then to Chad next summer. We are appointees with AIM, USA. We have a blog, as well, and use email. Would you like to get in touch? Hope your prep is going well!

You do well with harnessing technology. I’m glad the days of photocopying prayer letters are almost a thing of the past. We look forward to following your progress with our prayers – still the best way of communicating.

    Hi Catherine:
Just learned today that Bebalem is closed.
I built the hospital in 1962 and served there until illness forced us home a few years later. We have lost contact with Tchad except for Paul Weber whom I delivered!
Would love to here from you.

Bebalem hospital is not closed, but is working hard under the leadership of the EET church. Please continue to pray for the work there. Thanks.

Hi Gordon, from Catherine’s mum. Catherine has very unreliable internet, so may never have seen your comment, and I’ve only just found it. Bebalem is far from closed, I assure you, it’s very busy! So God continues to use the work you began to reach the needy with medicine and the gospel. Let me know if you would like Catherine’s prayer updates.
